Nothing Much Else Happened: October 6, 1978

Today, in the playoffs, the Dodgers came to Los Angeles to play their first game at home, and did the same thing they did in the first game of the playoffs — only it went the other way. The Phillies won it, 9-5. I haven't been to the dentist in over 2 months because last time I went I got all my wires off to let my teeth grow in. So, my teeth won't have to suffer for another 16 days, when I go back to Mr. Ricketts' (Dr.) on the 22nd.

Nothing Much Else Happened: July 11, 1978

Today, unfortunately, I had a dentist appointment. So, I had to get up very early (9:00 A.M.) and go down to the town. Well, my appointment was a total waste of time. I walked in, the doctor (dentist) looked at my braces, and told me I could go. Didn't even tighten anything! He says he can't do a thing until my eye teeth come in. I'm afraid that'll be a long time. When I came home, can you guess what I did? You're probably right. I went skateboarding! I did the same thing again, over and over. I'm beginning to get really good, now.

Nothing Much Else Happened: January 31, 1978

Today, I didn't go to school right away. In fact, I didn't go to school til 9:20 and it started at 7:45! The reason was because I had a dental appointment. I got a new wire on my bottom braces. After school, Nick Menudier and I were picked up by dad and we went bowling! I beat A.S. 124-55, 93-68, and 79-62. My average is now 104. So ends the first month of my first diary.
